WP2. Social work in a Europe in crisis
Description
|
In order to build a new curriculum for social workers, taking into account the current critical situations (precariousness, immigration, violence, refugees) we need to have a perfect knowledge of the consequences of the crises that Europe has undergone on social action and on European social policies. For this we propose to build a consensus between university training institutions and social action institutions.
It is with this starting point and the building of a consensus in the consortium that we will be able to build new interdisciplinary teaching for the European program that we want to implement. Our first objective of reinforcing academic excellence will be achieved thanks to the setting up of this module 2 of an interaction between social action professionals and university trainers. |
Activities
|
T2.1. Survey of social agencies
The ESN partner will lead this action by capitalizing on the work of reflection and analysis conducted by the network and by interacting with us to examine the consequences of new practices or new risks on the professional skills to be attained by the students. T.2.2. Status of training programs for social workers Then we propose to examine social work training programs with the help of the EASSW association in order to identify new curricula and to examine new training methods involving victims or beneficiaries. A dialogue will also have to take place with the other professions in the care and security sectors and the MDS association, together with the other partners, will work on this point. The objectives of this work module are both to reach a consensus on the risks and new requirements in social work and to identify the new university teaching contents to be built. |

WP3. Updating the professional skills of social workers for social effectiveness
Description
|
The objectives of this work package are mainly to focus on the training methods of social workers and on the training contents already existing in the network of the EEASW association. Our objective is in line with the general SISWEC project, we want to identify and characterize good training practices developing a better articulation between theoretical and
practical training, rethink the place of internships and professional practices, open training methods to a plurality of professions in alliance with social workers and finally consider the role of the beneficiaries of our services as co-trainers within the problem-solving modules. |
Activities
|
T3.1. Mapping of training modules and methods used
After having examined in WP2 the crisis situations, identified the probable evolutions of social action, understood how in situations of wars, pandemics, migratory crises, community closure, we want to know if the new professional competences of social workers are already training objectives. Mapping of training modules and Methods used: The mapping of methods and contents dealing with crisis situations in training centers is an important concern of the EWSAE and we rely on this network to help us identify and characterize good practices. T.3.2. Feedback with the social institutions on the contents and good practices The identification of these good practices will allow us to evaluate them and measure their potential for dissemination. A preparation process for dissemination will take place so that each partner university can test these good practices. |

WP5. Intercategorial Training of Trainers Seminars
Description
|
This WP will be at the heart of the project, as it will be dedicated to the development and implementation of innovative and high quality training programs for the target groups of the SISWEC project (university trainers of future social workers, social action professionals). As mentioned above, the training programs will be derived from WP2 and WP3, which will be complemented by the expertise and skills of the project partners. Based on these data, these complete and rigorous trainings will be sustainable and will allow Off Line and On Line to constitute a team of trainers capable of deploying the renovation of the teachings thanks to the online platform.
The training modules will include the contents of the module 1 courses and the contents of the module 3 adapted courses. They will be easily transferable to other contexts thanks to their global approach in terms of contextual adaptability (thanks to the Consortium). In addition to this inherent sustainability, the training course will allow professional trainers from Universities to administer courses to their students in order to validate the pedagogy and methods used. Finally, the course contents and the engineering of the training seminars as well as the learning outcomes of the project will be maximized and continuously used after its lifetime. In line with the priorities of the EU and the call, and thus aiming to encourage the digitization of adult education. A digital engineering and mediatization work will be carried out for the last On Line seminar |

5.1. Training of trainers session 1 offline
Session 1 will be under the responsibility of France (MDS and IFRASS) and will take into account the evolution of the practices of social workers in the face of violence, the precariousness of families and the crisis situations of children and young people. A design work will be organized with the other partners to achieve a coherent content panel. T.5.2. Training of trainers session 2 offline Session 2 will be under the responsibility of Poland (PSI) and will focus on the evolution of social policies in Europe on the issue of precarious people and the issue of refugees and migrants. An essential work will be done to involve in the training both professionals in post, polycy makers and people who benefit from these actions. T.5.3. Analysis of panel online impacts The 3rd online session will be set up by IPS and we will then have a larger opening of the training by aiming at 10 trainees per partner (70). It will then be a question of deploying digital contents and making an inventory of what exists on the understanding of online situations and deploying a coworking methodology on pedagogies of problem situations. The themes will be housing, health and gender precariousness. The sessions will last 3 days each and will alternate three times (contribution of contents, problematic situations to be solved, analysis of the competences brought into play by the social worker. |

WP6. Dissemination
Description
|
In this WP, the partnership will ensure that project results and outputs reach the targeted audiences throughout the EU. This includes, in particular, the dissemination of a) new knowledge on practices of social action in the areas of local democracy, mutual aid and the fight against poverty, the reduction of intra-family violence, and the fight against extremist narratives; b) a structured characterisation of pedagogical opportunities and evaluation of existing training practices; c) state-of-the-art training resources and identified good practices; d) innovative skills training for key practitioners.
Also, to ensure sustainability, transfer and up-scalability beyond project completion. Seeking, in particular, the expansion of training to Member States beyond those represented by the SISWEG partnership, as well as the future adaptation of resources and training for emerging social challenges. The SISWEC project intends to target the academic community, by capitalising on the results in order to contribute to academic publications and future research. Finally, it intends to raise awareness of the project and its activities among targeted audiences, other projects targeting similar social issues, and the public at large. This will ensure awareness that the project has been funded, on what the project aims to do with the funding, and why it is important. It shall also help to prevent against duplication. These objectives are paramount to the overall aim of the project – to update the knowledge of schools institutes and universities on targeted dimensions of social activity and social work – as they ensure that: knowledge acquired reaches relevant stakeholders in educational institutions; that sufficient numbers of participants are engaged in the project activities, offering critical end-user and expert input; that up-take of the training resources and activities justifies the costs of their development and production; and that future training can be made relevant to future societal challenges. |
